Besides the writing practice I do not see the benefit in posted things about myself besides to get recognition by random people I might not even know. Im sure networking is possible through this but I think networking is equally effective in a majority of other ways. Personality can only be brought so far into words that I type compared to words that I speak, including facial expressions, and eye contact.
There are literally infinite amounts of information on the web, why would people spend their valuable time searching the opinions of first year college students. I might have a chance if my friends and family want to hear me, but thats potentially to develop an opinion on who I am or where I am going in my course or life in general. Hmm, maybe they should make a blog about their opinion on my blog... I will keep an open mind on this assignment but so far I find it slightly unrealistic and pointless.
